The Sheffield Palestine Solidarity Campaign aims to support women in Palestine in accessing education. This support is provided through the Teacher Creativity Center, the Campaign’s main partner in the West Bank.
During the reception, Dr. Khanfar expressed his gratitude to the Campaign representatives for this initiative to support Palestinian female students in completing their university studies amidst the difficult economic conditions faced by the Palestinian people. He affirmed the University’s readiness to cooperate in this field, in addition to strengthening collaboration in academic and research fields.
He also provided the visiting delegation with an overview of the University, its faculties, specializations, and academic programs at the bachelor’s, masters and doctoral levels, offered at the University’s campuses in Jenin and Ramallah.
Ms. Christie spoke about the Campaign’s objectives, events, and activities aimed at increasing solidarity with the Palestinian people, and its programs specifically designed to support women.
For his part, Mr. Abdullah Jarar emphasized that the relationship with the Arab American University is a strategic one, based on a shared vision with the University administration regarding joint work and cooperation to advance the educational process.
Following the reception, the Sheffield Campaign delegation met with the students who received the Campaign scholarship.
